Chess Board

This handcrafted chessboard features alternating walnut and ash squares, offering a warm, natural contrast that is easy to read across the board. The playing field is framed in figured ambrosia maple, where the natural grain and spalting give each board its own character.
A thin padauk accent stripe runs through the border, adding a subtle line of color that sets off the frame without overpowering the board.
The board is built to full tournament size, making it well suited for standard Staunton-style chess pieces while still looking right at home on a coffee table or game table.
